Mr Tiger Goes Wild
By Peter Brown,
Macmillan Children’s Books, paperback, $16.73, 3+

Like all wild animals, Mr Tiger is born to be wild. But living in an oppressed society where wildness is not tolerated, Mr Tiger has to do things the way everyone does. He does not feel like himself at all there. So one day, Mr Tiger decides that he has had enough of being proper, and decides to go wild and have some fun. But will he go too far and have too much fun? This simple yet engaging tale of a tiger who learns to embrace his stripes will have children understanding the greatness of individuality. Bonus points for the excellent illustrations!
