Through the decades the arts, be it music, theatre, dance or art, has been a source of cultural expression and an outlet for emotions and feelings. They are beneficial for physical development, especially in young children, and more recently the arts have been found to support academic learning as well. More than these though, an arts education has been shown to develop fundamental life skills in youth.
