As parents, we naturally hope that our kids will be able to attain future success. One of the best ways to help your children get started on the right foot is to equip them with early reading skills from a young age. According to Janette Pelletier, Director of the Institute of Child Studies at the University of Toronto, this is because a child’s early years provide a unique opportunity for learning. When they are young, children’s brains are developing at very fast rates. Exposure to reading can stimulate quicker reading and help forge faster connections.
